This anime chronicles an angel observation team (one a positive angel and one a negative angel) keeping an eye on humanity. And these angels are very different from the american model. They are not amazingly powerful (although they do have wings), are under strict orders not to get involved in human affairs and indeed seem uncertain whether humanity was a good idea in the first place. The two we are following include a skillful blond negative angel and a black haired, black winged empathic positive angel. He seems to have a talent for stumbling into situations, although he can rarely handle them. The sort of situations tend to involve some sort of crisis, and are clearly intended to be meaningful and often tragic. The animation is capable and the writing is interesting albeit episodic and perhaps trying a touch too hard to go for the heart. Certainly the voyage is interesting enough, and free to span the globe, that I would love to see how the story unfolds. There is a large jump from episode 2 to 3 which made me suspect I had missed episodes, but I believe the jump is intentional so as to skip to another section in the source manga (grrr). Also in episode 3 we get to see evidence that the two angels are a couple, so if that bothers you (although it is strongly hinted earlier) be warned.
