Sometimes you're really in the mood for something cheerful and good-natured, and I thought I could rely on this tape to provide that. Unfortunately for my desires this tape is a far more serious outing than the first with Yuna and her friends facing three extremely powerful and generally insane opponents focused on the destruction of her and anything she holds dear, including her friends and extending up to her planet. There are still flashes of the humor from the first series but the plot, while not amazingly original, allows little time for reflection although we do get to see another part of Yuna's character. The immense cast from the source material are still present, plus a character picked up in the last series and a potential new ally (who creates some of the best scene's of the series) so be prepared for a profusion of brightly colored anime girls. The action and animation are good fun to watch and some of the design is very nice. The plot is fairly simple and familiar, but sufficient for the short duration and containing some memorable moments.
