 		    Abstract:   An all female studio of manga and anime creators. Distinct style and exotic subjects have made them firm fan favourites.

The Masters of pretty graphics. This is made fairly obvious by visiting the fan pages which tend to be dominated by graphics. Finding a chronological list of the works this studio has put out is quite challenging. They are interesting in that the core group is all female, started out by doing doujinshi (fan comics) and still produces many manga titles. Indeed some of their strongest titles, of which X is the oft quoted example, are best experienced in the original manga. To be honest I don't like this studio much, with a lot of their material being a lot of style and uncertain substance. Still, there are no shortage of people who strongly disagree with me. Whatever else is said this studio do have such a definite style, and have been such an influence on fans tastes and probably other anime producers that they are certainly worth knowing.
