Abstract:   A `cute', doll-like representation of anime characters.

Also called SD, SD mode or CB (Chibu Body?) it refers to rendering anime characters in a simplified exaggerated form. Effectively making them look more like dolls of themselves, with small bodies and big heads. These are often used in stills and also within anime itself, generally to amplify the humor in some situation. The animation in SD mode tends to be simple with exaggerated motion and visual effects. There are no shortage of examples and many products are done almost entirely in an SD like mode.
