A super compressed sci-fi story which tries to cover all bases but which ends up sort of confused by the pace it forces. The first episode could be titled cute and is very magical girl as a lively teenage school child discovers she has access to power, along with the required nemesis. The second episode is comedy and drama and the third episode is almost tragic (no, I don't mean it's bad). The main problem is that we have seen this concept, albeit not quite as compressed, many times before and this is not helped by relatively shallow characterisation and dialogue. The animation is clean, bright and modern but has some weird character design, especially in regards to the armor and tech. (which is sort of important in a high tech power suit anime). There is also a reasonable slab of ecchi with multiple bath-tub scenes which combines with some highly improbable female anatomy to cross the bounds of reasonable. Bonus points however for her adopted parents, the beatiful and supportive young wife who idolises her mad scientist husband who are good fun. The kamikaze alarm clock, anti lateness devices and animate diary are good for a chuckle. Not a bad watch, but with several flaws and writing that can't quite draw the many moods together.
