More fun with the Lupin gang, with an emphasis on action in this installment. For the newcomer, Lupin is a modern day thief, with a noble heart but a strong streak of mischief. The Lupin series of movies are produced independantly (With varied success) but share the same characters. In this movie we have an apocalyptic cult who claim to have the secret prophecies of nostradamus and a ridiculously rich man who owns the real ones but is going to use them in his climb to power. Needless to say the gang gets drawn into the middle with Lupin and Fujiko claiming most of the action this time. The writing is not that tight, the animation and design are fairly ordinary and the bad guys are even worse at shooting things than normal but there are some enjoyable (albeit over the top) action sequences to enjoy. The characters are quite well represented and there are some good lines and scenes along the way. This is an enjoyable watch but is far from being a classic.
