I love some of the concepts of this show, but pedestrian writing and some flaws drag it down here. This is also going to annoy devout christians, as the lead character prays to God for her powers, gets her missions from a teenage nun, and steals on behalf of good (ie. to expose the true bad guy). The differences from most magical girl shows are that this teenager has chosen this path, and chooses both her missions and method, and even seems to enjoy it. This differs from having power (and responsibility) forced by an outside influence. In addition her powers are physical (along with `magic tricks'), her outfit is mostly functional, and she has moments of cool...which is pretty weird for a young teenage lead. She also has a junior detective chasing her, and she invites him to all her heists because she enjoys it more that way (good way to show affection?). Sadly, in addition to the average writing, the animation is old and the transformation sequences are painfully silly even within this genre.
