What the hell is this doing here? If you see this as your first manifestation of Nuku-Nuku you might well find it amusing in a waa-aa-aa-aay over the top manner. There are some nice visual gag's, lots of very silly supporting characters and some cute one liners. The problem is that the humor is simply too much after a while, so extreme that there seems little chance of addressing other issues or rediscovering a balance. Also, it completely re-invents the original and looses the character and complexity that made it worthwhile in the first place. Watch it once, in small doses, but don't confuse it with the original.
A helpful usenet poster (btomlin) stated that this series had 12 episodes plus valentine and new years specials. Along with Nuku-Nuku dash this comprised the magic 26 episodes for one season. He also stated, "TV has a lot of cliches, but they're done AS cliches, so it's not *too* bad, Dash is pretty lame." which seems to sum things up.
